HyperRESEARCH™ Downloads

HyperRESEARCH can be downloaded here for free. The Free Limited Edition is fully functional, with the following limits:

  • The Code Book is limited to 75 codes.
  • A study is limited to 7 cases.
  • Each case can have no more than 50 code references.

The free edition is suitable for teaching the basics of qualitative research, without requiring students to purchase the full package. You can also use the Free Limited Edition to explore HyperRESEARCH's capabilities.

To continue your work without these limitations, just purchase a license using the Buy Now link under the Products menu. Once you enter your license key, you can continue working with the same files; the only thing that changes is that the number of codes, cases, and code references is unlimited with a licensed copy.

If you have just purchased HyperRESEARCH and want to download it: First download the Free Limited Edition and install it. When you start up the free edition, it asks whether you want to enter a license key or continue in free mode. The license key was emailed to you when you purchased HyperRESEARCH. Once you enter your license key, the program removes all the limitations and transforms itself into the full edition.

If you are upgrading HyperRESEARCH from a previous version: Purchase an Upgrade from our web site. You will be emailed a new HyperRESEARCH 3.0 license key. Next, download the free edition and install it. When the program asks for a license key, enter the license key you received from your purchase. This will fully enable your copy of HyperRESEARCH 3.0.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER AND LICENSE KEY! ResearchWare released HyperRESEARCH version 3.0 on December 26, 2010. If you purchased HyperRESEARCH prior to then, your license key will be in lowercase letters with some numbers mixed in (example: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx). The version 3.0 license key has uppercase letters and numbers (example: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).

These 2.8.x and 3.0 license keys are specific to their versions. If your license key has uppercase letters, please download version 3.0 (3.0.3) below. If your license key has lowercase letters, you will need version 2.8.3, or you will need to upgrade to version 3.0.3.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: We have released verion 3.0.3 of HyperRESEARCH, a maintenance release to version 3.0.x. Everyone who has purchased or downloaded version 3.0, 3.0.1, or 3.0.2 of HyperRESEARCH should download and update to version 3.0.3.
