Thanks so very, very much!! This [Customer Support] is just another reason why I would NEVER use any other programs for my qualitative analysis. You are just amazing.

HyperRESEARCH™ Downloads

HyperRESEARCH can be downloaded here for free. The Free Limited Edition is fully functional, with the following limits:

  • The Code List is limited to 75 codes.
  • A study is limited to 7 cases.
  • Each case can have no more than 50 code references.

The free edition is suitable for teaching the basics of qualitative research, without requiring students to purchase the full package. You can also use the Free Limited Edition to explore HyperRESEARCH's capabilities.

To continue your work without these limitations, just purchase a license using the Buy Now link under the Products menu. Once you enter your license key, you can continue working with the same files; the only thing that changes is that the number of codes, cases, and code references is unlimited with a licensed copy.

If you have just purchased HyperRESEARCH and want to download it: First download the Free Limited Edition and install it. When you start up the free edition, it asks whether you want to enter a license key or continue in free mode. The license key was emailed to you when you purchased HyperRESEARCH. Once you enter your license key, the program removes all the limitations and transforms itself into the full edition.

If you are upgrading HyperRESEARCH from a previous version: Download the free edition and install it. When the program asks for a license key, enter the original license key you received when you first made your purchase. This will fully enable your copy of HyperRESEARCH.

This is a free upgrade for users of HyperRESEARCH 2.0 or later. License keys for version 2.5 and later continue to work in this version. If you are upgrading from a version older than 2.5, contact technical support for help.

Everything needed to complete all of the tutorials is included in the package, with the exception of these supplemental media files used in Tutorial #5, "Working with Graphic, Video, and Audio Source Materials." A recently published study on distance education utilized HyperRESEARCH for analysis of video source material. Teaching and Learning Against all Odds: A Video-Based Study of Learner-to-Instructor Interaction in International Distance Education by Jean-Marie Muhirwa, published in The International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning in the August 2009 issue is available at: http://www.irrodl.org/index.php/irrodl/article/view/628/1314.In this mixed-methods approach, a quantitative analysis of video interactions in distance learning was complimented with qualitative analysis using HyperRESEARCH.
