Scott Kinder - CEO

Scott is a member of the Instructional Design and eTeaching Services department at Boston College. In this role, he helps faculty members use technology for teaching and research and has most recently been heavily involved in rolling out Lecture Capture to the BC community. Scott also teaches WWW and Digital Media in BC Communication Department. At ResearchWare, Scott's main interest is in continuing to keep HyperResearch a cutting edge researcher's tool with unparalleled ease of use.

Paul Dupuis - CFO

Paul serves as ResearchWare's treasurer and chief financial officer. He also served as CEO from 1991 to 1999, and was the lead programmer from 1991-1999 before turning over development to Richard's capable hands. Paul has over 25 years of experience in the growth and management of IT organizations in industries ranging from software development, professional services, higher education, manufacturing, and biotechnology.

Sharlene Hesse-Biber - Marketing

Sharlene Janice Nagy Hesse-Biber, Ph.D. University of Michigan, is Professor of Sociology and the Director of Women’s Studies at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She has published widely on the impact of sociocultural factors on women’s body image, including her book Am I Thin Enough Yet? The Cult of Thinness and the Commercialization of Identity (Oxford, 1996), which was selected as one of Choice magazine’s best academic books for 1996. She recently published The Cult of Thinness (Oxford, 2007). She is the co-author of Working Women in America: Split Dreams (Oxford, 2005). She is co-editor of Feminist Approaches to Theory and Methodology: An Interdisciplinary Reader (Oxford, 1999), Approaches to Qualitative Research: A Reader on Theory and Practice (Oxford, 2004), and Emergent Methods in Social Research (Sage, 2006). She is co-author of The Practice of Qualitative Research (Sage, 2006; second edition, 2010). She is editor of the Handbook of Feminist Research: Theory and Praxis (Sage, 2007; Second Edition, forthcoming, 2011), which was selected as one of the Critics’ Choice Award winners by the American Education Studies Association, and was also chosen as one of Choice Magazine’s Outstanding Academic titles for 2007. She is co-editor of the Handbook of Emergent Methods (Guilford, 2008). She is a contributor to the Handbook of Grounded Theory (Sage, 2008) as well the Handbook of Mixed Methods Research (Sage 2nd edition, 2010). She is author of Mixed Methods Research: Merging Theory with Practice (Guilford Publications, 2010). She is editor of the Handbook of Emergent Technologies in Social Research (Forthcoming, 2010 Oxford University Press.) She is co-developer of the software program HyperRESEARCH, a computer-assisted program for analyzing qualitative data, and the new transcription tool HyperTRANSCRIBE. Ann Dupuis - Chief Operating Officer & Quality Control

Ann has provided software testing, documentation, and technical support for HyperRESEARCH since ResearchWare was first incorporated in 1991. She also handles the administrative side of the company.

Richard Gaskin - Lead Programmer

Richard brings 20 years of programming experience to the team. As president of Fourth World Media Corporation, he specializes in rapid application development for all major operating systems. His passion for user-centered design contributes the HyperRESEARCH's continually expanding feature set while maintaining its reputation as the easiest-to-use tool in the qualitative market. Richard is an active member of ACM SIGCHI, the Association of Usability Professionals, and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
