Parental Involvement in the College-Going Activities of High School Students explored with HyperRESEARCH

HyperRESEARCH aided in the coding and analysis for Heather T. Rowan-Kenyon, Angela D. Bell, and Laura W. Perna's paper on "Contextual Influences on Parental Involvement in College Going: Variations by Socioeconomic Class".

The paper was published in The Journal of Higher Education, Volume 79, Number 5, September/October 2008, pp. 564-586. The authors note that "This study explores parental involvement in the college-going processes of high school students using Perna's (2006) multilevel contextual model and multiple descriptive case studies. Aspects of the school, higher education, and the larger social, economic, and policy context affect how parents engage with their children regarding college going." The paper can be accessed here.
