What information does researchware.com collect when I visit?

Our website creates a cookie on your computer when you visit the site. Cookies do not contain any personal information; they are just IDs that we give you so that when you visit again, Researchware.com can use the cookie to recognize your computer. If you wish, you can use your browser’s preferences to prevent Researchware.com from creating cookies, or to delete our cookies. If you register and log in, additional cookies are created so that Researchware.com can recognize you as a registered user. Our website does not use “supercookies” or any identification method that you can’t control using standard browser cookie settings.

Other than cookies, Researchware.com does not store information about you that you do not actively enter. While you can visit the site without giving us any information, we do ask for information in some cases:

  • If you register on Researchware.com, we ask for some information such as your name and email address. You can also visit the site without registering or providing any information.

Is my payment information secure?

When you visit our website to purchase any of our products, your transaction is automatically protected by SSL encryption. This is a standard encryption method that helps prevent anyone else from gaining access to your payment data.

Is my research data secure?

When you install our products and enter data into them, your study data, analyses, and all information you enter will remain on your computer unless you send the files to someone else. However, you are responsible for taking any needed security measures to ensure that your computer and files are secure.

Does your software monitor or collect data from my use? Can you control the software remotely?

No. Neither HyperRESEARCH nor HyperTRANSCRIBE allows us any access to or remote access to your data. We have no way of viewing, modifying, or in any way manipulating your data. We cannot (and will not threaten to) deactivate your application remotely, or deliberately damage or lock up your data in any way.

Do you keep technical support queries confidential?

Yes. Your support queries and statements are private unless you give us specific permission to make them public.

However, we may share support queries within Researchware for the purpose of improving our products. If your support issue is affected by a service that a third party provides to Researchware.com, we may discuss your support query with that person or company so that we can resolve your problem and improve our service.

We may ask you to send us screenshots or copies of your study file, source documents, or other files so that we can see and diagnose the problem you’re experiencing. Understanding that such files often contain research data, we treat any such files as highly confidential, we use them only to diagnose and resolve the problem, and we do not retain any copies after that process is finished.

Do you sell my personal information to anyone else?

No. We do not sell or trade the personal information that you choose to share when you use our site.

We may release your personal information if and only to the extent required to comply with the law or a judicial order; to enforce our site policies; or to protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.

We may release general visitor information to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses, but we will remove any information that personally identifies you first.

Researchware has entered into contracts with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, in conducting our business, and in serving our customers. Each such contract requires that the third party maintain the confidentiality of any personal customer information that we share as required to operate our business.
